A nation out of time, Elpis Renatus is comprised of survivors from a timequake in an alternate reality to the known reality of Aurania. They showed up in the 19th Year of the Age of Steam & Mana, bearing technology far in excess of anything anyone had seen. It was delicate and impossible to replicate stuff, but their expertise has brought them into the limelight as master craftspeople and purveyors of powerful technology.
